The Ebonyi State Government has launched a 3-month free digital skill acquisition scheme in an effort to create digital literacy skill and provide employment opportunities to the people.
Officials told AIT_ Online that the free training scheme is aimed at enhancing the digital literacy skill of youths in the State.
Speaking at the flag-off. the wife of Ebonyi State Governor, Uzoamka Nwifuru highlighted the essence of the scheme in bridging the Digital knowledge gap and assisting the people to be self-reliant in their endeavors.
Nwifuru noted that Basic and practical skills in Information Technology and Digital Literacy was key to self development, assuring that Government will not only provide the conducive training environment, but also empower them with start-up kits.

The 3-month training scheme will be on five different courses to include; Frontend Development, Hardware maintenance/Networking, Graphics design, Video Editing, and Content creation.
Some of the participants expressed delight in being part of the first set on the program, assuring to utilize the knowledge gained for self development and creating digital empowerment..
For the first pilot phase, 65 beneficiaries from across the 13 Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State, will participate in the 3-month digital skill acquisition scheme which is being championed by the office of the wife of the Ebonyi State Governor.
