The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Ebonyi State Chapter, has called on the party to zone the Presidency to the South East in 2023.
Briefing the media after the inauguration of the caretaker committee of the chapter in Abuja, the members noted that the PDP, was yet to meet, discuss, or resolve on strategies to actualize the zoning of the Presidency to the South East in the next general elections.
Members of Party in the State, however, say they respect the right of Governor Dave Umahi, who defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, last week, to determine his political direction and hope that he will respect the rights of others to also belong to the party of their choice.

The Ebonyi PDP commends the National Organs of the party for its swift response in dissolving the party structure in Ebonyi State and setting up the caretaker committee.
