Police in Ebonyi State, South East Nigeria, has paraded a personnel of the regional security outfit code named “Ebubeagu”, as part of a suspected armed robbery syndicate.
Vincent Njoku and a middle aged woman, Amara Enyidiya are among four suspects alleged to be members of the robbery gang which specializes in the snatching of vehicles and motorcycles from Enugu and other neighbouring States.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chris Anyanwu told Journalists at the Command’s Headquarters that the suspects were arrested at Uburu in Ohaoazara Local Government Area, South of the State capital, Abakaliki while negotiating the sale of one of the snatched motorcycles.
Also in the Police net is 18 years old, Chibunna Ali, said to be a native of Ezzama in Ezza North LGA.




Security operatives are accusing him of being a member of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, the militant wing of the proscribed separatist agitation group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
The Police claim that, young Chibunna was arrested on Thursday, 3Oth of June, 2022 when a Tactical team of the Police stormed a suspected camp of the ESN at a remote location in Oriuzor village, Ezza North Council Area.
The suspects are yet to be charged, as detectives say they are still carrying out investigations.
