The freedom to celebrate this year’s Independence Day in Adamawa State to many, was a joyous feeling.

From Bekaji and Mubi Roundabout to major streets of the Adamawa State capital, Yola, residents came out dressed in their green and white attires to celebrate Nigeria at sixty-one.

Some of them called on the youths to be the agents of peaceful coexistence, while others said, more needed to be done by government, to make Nigeria a better country.
During the celebration, members of the Adamawa State chapter of the Red Cross Society, also visited the specialist hospital to present gifts to expecting mothers and those who delivered October First Babies.
