The Parliament of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS is meeting virtually in an extraordinary plenary session on the recent military coup in the Republic of Niger led by General Abdourahamane Tchiani.
The virtual extraordinary session has all the 115 members of the Parliament deliberating on the possible solutions to curb the incessant violation of the statutory provisions of the ECOWAS Charter by some member states including Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso and most recently, Republic of Niger.
