Ahead of the September 19 governorship election in Edo State, some youths of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Agbede, Etsako West Local Government Area of the state, have called for police protection over what they described as a threat to their lives by a suspected thug belonging to the main opposition party, All Progressives Congress, APC.
This call was made while the youths were on a peaceful protest to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Agbede.
The PDP faithful gave an insight into what transpired even as they accused the police in the area of not protecting them.
Some persons, who sustained various degrees of bullet wounds, narrated their ordeal.

The protesters are calling on the Nigeria Police Force to secure their lives and that of their family members as they said they reserve the right to belong to any political party of their choice.
