Edo Deputy Governor accuses Oshiomhole of instigating crisis in House of Assembly

The Deputy Governor of Edo State Philip Shaibu has accused the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former Governor of the State, Adams Oshiomhole of being the stumbling block against the inauguration of the members elect who opted out of the ceremony which marked the commencement of the Edo seventh Assembly in 2019.

The Deputy Governor who made this accusation when he received some decampees from the All Progressives Congress in Etsako West Local Government Area led by a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Lucky James who served in the administration of Adams Oshiomhole in Benin City also called on the former Governor to explain the mysterious fire incident at the State Ministry of Education in 2013.

Over one hundred members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State formally declared for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
They are led by Lucky James, a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs who served in the Administration of the two time Governor of the State and former National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole.
He attributes the movement to what he described as the lack of representation and leadership in the Local Government Area within the APC..
The Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Francis Alimikhena was on hand to show Solidarity.

They were recieved by Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu and Chairman of the PDP, Anthony Aziegbemi.
The Deputy Governor was upset that the Senatorial District has had no representation at the State House of Assembly for three years.

Philip Shaibu also broght up the issue of the disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki from the APC.

He urged the people to join hands with Senator Alimikhena to ensure victory for the PDP in Edo North come 2023.
