The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured Edo citizens of its readiness to conduct free, fair and credible governorship election on September 19.
The National Commissioner for information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye made the promise during a media tour to DAAR Communications office in Benin.

He said the commission will provide a level playing field for all political parties in the election.
He however advised voters to adhere strictly to established Covid-19 protocols during the exercise.
One million, seven hundred and twenty six thousand seven hundred and thirty eight (1,726,736) people who have collected their voters’ cards will participate in the election out of two million two hundred and ten thousand, five hundred and thirty four (2,210,534) registered voters.
