The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, EDSIEC, says it has suspended all processes leading to the conduct of the Local Council polls scheduled for April 19, 2022.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Emmanuel Abebe on behalf of the Chairman, Retired Justice James Oyomire.

The statement hinged the suspension of the exercise on a recent injunction by the Federal High Court Abuja which restrained EDSIEC from conducting Local Government elections in the State pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice
