Edo #EndSARS panel adjourns DAAR Communications vandalization hearing to Dec. 17

DAAR

The Edo State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the #EndSARS brutality this Monday, entertained more petitions bothering on the police and soldiers brutality, as well as petitions from victims of vandalization of property and equipment by hoodlums during the End SARS protests in Benin City, the state capital.

One of the cases which came up was that of that DAAR Communications PLC, Benin centre. The media outfit is asking the panel to recommend compensation for the damage done to some of its transmission and office facilities by hoodlums.

The representative of DAAR Communications PLC Benin centre, Solomon Otoaviokhai, appeared before the Edo State Judicial Panel of Inquiry for the second time over the vandalization of some of the company’s office and transmission facilities, when hoodlums took over the End SARS protest.

The counsel to the media outfit had asked the panel for more time so he can submit additional documents the claims.

The panel graciously granted his prayer to hear the petition of DAAR Communications PLC Benin centre, on Thursday, December 17, 2020.

The panel also entertained some cases of alleged police and soldiers brutality, saying work was going as expected and assured the Edo people of justice.
