Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has signed a 2025 Appropriation Bill of N675 billion into law.
Assenting to the bill christened “Budget of Renewed Hope for a Rising Edo,” Governor Okphebholo said the budget will rejuvenate the state’s economy and ensure the delivery of democratic benefits.
On December 10, 2024, Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo presented an appropriation bill of 605 billion naira to the state legislature for consideration.
This Tuesday, December 24, the lawmakers visited government house and submitted an increased figure of 675 billion naira.
Governor Monday Okpebholo, upon signing the relevant documents of the bill, which will guide the state’s financial operations in 2025, praised the lawmakers for their swift approval. He assured that the budget will be effectively implemented.
He also said the budget will support the achievement of his five-point agenda, which includes security, infrastructure development, healthcare, agriculture, and education.
