The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship Aspirants Screening Committee has cleared all the 12 contenders that physically presented themselves to be screened.

According to the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, those cleared are Prince Clem Agba, Monday Okpebholo, Lucky Imasuen, Anamero Sunday and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Others are Gideon Ikhine, David Imuse, General Charles Airhiavbere and Professor Oserheimen Osunbor.

Blessing Agbomhere, Dennis Idahisa and Ernest Umakhihe also passed the screening and are expected to slug it out at the party’s direct primaries on February 17, 2024.

There have been disquiet over the fate of some of the aspirants as there were claims of some being allegedly favoured to emerge as candidate. The latest development will however put to rest the uneasy calm that had pervaded the atmosphere in the Edo State chapter of the party.
