The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo State has accused the main opposition party in the state, the All Progressives Congress (APC) of deliberately misleading unsuspecting members of the public that APC member are being attacked even after the peace meeting with the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare the second.
The State Publicity Secretary of Edo PDP, Chris Nehikhare stated this at a press briefing held at the party secretariat in Benin City.
Chris Nehikhare said PDP members are law abiding and peace loving citizens who will not do anything capable of affecting the party’s chances at the forthcoming election.

He accused the APC of deliberately spreading the falsehood and using the antiics to cause a postponement of the September 19 Governorship poll.
The PDP State Publicity Secretary urged the main opposition party in the state to focus on legitimate means of canvassing for votes and called on the electoral umpire, INEC, to ensure free, fair and credible election.
