A member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Daisy Danjuma has called on residents in Edo State to turn out in large numbers to vote for the candidate of the party and Incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki on Saturday.
Speaking in Benin City when she met with women leaders from across the 192 wards in the state, the former Senator also cautioned against violence.
Few days to the September 19 governorship election, support for Governor Godwin Obaseki has continued to swell with the member of the PDP Board of Trustees, (PDP) Danjuma throwing his weight behind his re-election bid.
Danjuma said she is impressed by Obaseki’s landmark achievements; thanking the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adam Oshiomhole for discovering such a trailblazer and achiever.
The former Senator however called on the people to shun violence; urging the women to ensure that they mobilise their families to vote for the PDP candidate to continue the good work he has started in the state.
Speaking, wife of Edo State Governor Betsy Obaseki canvassed support for her husband; stressing that the state needs his kind of visionary leadership.
