The arrival of the Edo State All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship campaign at Ugbekpe Ekperi in Etsako Central local government area for the ward-to-ward tour was greeted with heavy gunshots by unknown gunmen.

The Governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo and leaders of the party including former Governor and serving senator, Adams Oshiomhole, Minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh among others still went ahead with the rally.

But shortly after they took turns to address supporters, another set of gunshots began which caused panic at the campaign venue with the party leaders hurriedly delivering their speeches and to leave the venue.

The candidate, Monday Okpebholo had barely started addressing party supporters when the incident happened and right there he warned those behind the shooting to desist from it as they will face the full wrath of the law.
