The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has conducted ward congresses across the 192 council wards in Edo State to elect adhoc delegates ahead of the party primary on February 22, 2024.
Speaking after participating in the congress at his Ward Four in Oredo Local Government Area, Governor Godwin Obaseki describes the turnout for the exercise to elect the three-member Adhoc ward delegates in each ward as impressive.
The Governor is satisfied with the level of participation and describes the exercise as peaceful and orderly. His Chief of Staff, Osaigbovo Iyoha commends the process which he says reflects unity in the party in Edo State.

Enugu State Governor, Peter Mba, is the Chairman of the party’s five-member Ward Congresses Electoral Committee deployed by the National Secretariat in Abuja
The Adhoc delegates are expected to nominate the party’s Governorship candidate on February 22 ahead of the September 21 election.
