Edo State Government has denied allegations that it is owing workers of the defunct College of Education, Ekiadolor, eleven months salaries and pensions.

This position was made known by the Commissioner for Education, Jimoh Ijegbai, while reacting to a protest by the Academic and Non-academic Staff and Pensioners of the College of Education who say they have not been paid, since September 2019.

The College of Education was said to have been upgraded to a University in 2016 and renamed Tayo Akpata University of Education.

They are also asking for one hundred percent subvention for the College.

The Commissioner for Education, Jimoh Ijegbai, has denied the claims by the protesters.
