Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, says the Edo Health Insurance Scheme, EdoHIS, intends to enroll at least one million persons in the state by the end of 2021.
The Governor made this known at the Edo Health Insurance Summit 2019, which held in Benin City, the state’s capital, on Wednesday.
The theme of the summit was “Health Insurance for all: Policy, Process, and Framework- Developing on all-Inclusive Coverage”.
The goal of the Health insurance Scheme is to make healthcare accessible and affordable to residents especially the vulnerable at a sustainable level.
