Edo PDP expresses concern over attack on supporters and leaders of party

The People’s Democratic party in Edo state has expressed serious concerns over the ceaseless attacks on its supporters and leaders of the party by violent elements in the All progressives congress

The Party leadership during its campaign tour in Ovia South West local government area of Edo state say the attacks on the Governors supporters will lead to a breakdown of law and order in the state if not checked

The violent attacks on supporters of the peoples Democratic Party and Governor Godwin Obaseki in Edo state is taking a disturbing turn.

During the party’s campaign in some parts of Ovia North East local government area of the state, news filtered in confirming an alleged assassination attack on the chairman of Owan East local government area by Armed thugs at his private residence. Similar attacks were also launched on the campaign vehicles of the Governor with multiple bullets traces left behind.

The Chairman of the PDP Campaign Council in Edo state Dan Orbih said the PDP will not fold its hands and allow the democratic order in the state to be destroyed.

The Deputy Governor of Edo state, Philip Shaibu also confirmed that he’s been providing Intelligence reports to security agencies regarding the violence being hatched by elements in the APC, but no serious action has been taken

The peoples Democratic Party is calling on the president and Security agencies to call the Former National Chairman of the All progressives congress Adams Oshiomole to order in the interest of the majority and for the sake of peace
