Edo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, have inaugurated the State Campaign Council with a charge to carry out issue based campaigns and deliver the party’s candidate Asue Ighodalo in the September 21 governorship election.
The inauguration which was attended by Governor Obaseki was held at the party secretariat of the PDP in Benin City.
The Campaign structure of the Edo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, comprises of advisory and management committees and campaign council. There are also the women and youths wing.
Chairman of the party, Anthony Aziegbemi, Director General of the campaign organisation, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen and a co-chairperson of the women’s wing, Betsy Obaseki, laud the leader of PDP in the State, Governor Godwin Obaseki for the achievements recorded in the last seven and half years.
They noted that the PDP has a good story to tell and urge members to go all out to deliver the party’s flag bearer.
Governor Obaseki believes strongly that the people oriented reforms, policies and programmes of his administration, the organic support of the party faithful and antecedents of the candidate are enough to win the election.
Deputy Governor, Godwins Omobayo is emphatic that the PDP has a good product to market.
Asue Ighodalo sells his vision to further enhance the fortunes of the people.
Thereafter, chieftains and members expressed commitment to carry out issue based campaigns to every nook and cranny of Edo.
