The Edo State Police Command on Friday, rescued an 11-year-old boy, Onose Umasabor from his abductors, at Ososo in Akoko Edo local government area of the state.

According to a statement released by the Commands Public Relations Officer, Kontongs Bello, the Commissioner of Police Phillip Ogbadu, upon receiving a distress call from the members of the community, mobilized the operatives from the anti-kidnapping and cyber-crime unit of the command led by SP Patrick Balogun, on a rescue mission.

The Police, using high tech and intelligence gadgets then tracked the kidnappers to their hideout in the Uneme Erunu community of Akoko Edo local government area, where the boy was rescued unhurt, but not without a gun duel between the Police Operatives and the kidnappers, who fled into the bush with various degrees of injuries.
