Edo State Commissioner of Police Abutu Yaro, has commended the efforts of hunters and other vigilance groups working with the police to rid the state of criminals.
Yaro gave the commendation during an interactive security meeting with various local security networks in the state.
He says the synergy between the various local security networks in Edo state with the police has yielded meaningful results and reduced violent crimes especially kidnappings in the state.
The Police Commissioner called for a continuation of the ongoing collaboration, saying the job of ridding the state of violent crime is far from over.
He also acknowledged the efforts of the police in the state and used the occasion to decorate officers and men of the command who were among the police personnel recently promoted to Assistant Superintendents of Police and Deputy Superintendents of Police ..
