Edo Power Generation: FG Expresses Dissatisfaction Over Under-utilization Of Investments

Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu has said that the huge investments made by Federal Government in the power sector has not been fully utilised for the benefits of the people.

He stated this after a working visit to the Benin Generation Plant under the Niger Delta Power Holding Company at Ihovbor in Benin City.

The Federal Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, was in Edo State on an assessment visit to the Benin Generation Company Power plant under the Niger Delta Power Holding Company at Ihovbor in Benin City.

A major reason for the visit was how to significantly boost power supply to adequately meet the needs of people .
The Minister of Power however commends the state of art facilities at the power plant.

Adebayo Adelabu noted that the Federal Government has invested a lot in the sector and is not comfortable with what he says is the underutilisation of investments made.

However, the Minister is optimistic that challenges in the sector will soon be a thing of the past.

He believes that the sustained effort of Government will lead to improvements and a more reliable supply of electricity.
