Edo State Government has assured residents that it remains committed to ameliorating their sufferings by ensuring that all ongoing road construction and reconstruction works are completed in record time to ensure easy movement of goods and services across the state.
This assurance was given by the Commissioner for roads and bridges, Newton Okojie in Benin City as he presented a scorecard of the State Government in the area of roads infrastructure.
He says a total of eight hundred and sixty kilometres of roads have been awarded for construction since 2016 till date.

On his part, the Federal Controller of Works, Edo State, Aransiola Ademola revealed that the Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola has awarded some rehabilitation contracts for Federal roads in Edo State.
They expressed confidence that the intervention efforts of the Federal and State Government will yield positive results soon.
