The Edo State Government has launched the countdown to the commencement of the 20th National Sports Festival tagged Edo 2020 to create awareness for the games billed to commence on March 22 and end April 1, 2020.
Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu noted that the event will be world class and all is set to ensure a successful hosting.

Speaking to journalists on the level of preparedness, Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu assures that the State Government is ready for a successful hosting of the competition.
Launching the countdown to Edo 2020, Governor Godwin Obaseki says the games will be a veritable platform for youths to showcase their talents. He says it is also a competition that will unite Nigerians.

The Deputy Governor gave a rundown of those expected for the games including President Muhammadu Buhari.
