Edo State Government has approved the constitution of a Governing Council for the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
This follows the expiration of the tenure of the Special Intervention Team, SIT, set up by the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration to tackle the myriad of challenges in the institution.

A statement by Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, noted that the Council, which is made up of seven members, is to be chaired by Dr. Omo-Ehijele Frank Odafen.
Other members include Patience West Erhabor, Tony Innih, Professor Anthony Ekata Ogbeibu, Professor Sunday Ojeifo, Professor Kokunre Agbontaen-Eghafona and Clifford Imade Omozeghian.
The date for the official inauguration of the Council will be announced soon.
