Edo State Government has impose a dusk-to-dawn curfew across the state as part of measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus disease.
Governor Godwin Obaseki who announced this while briefing the State on the progress made so far in the fight against the pandemic says the curfew is from 7pm to 6am, effective Monday April 20, 2020 and will be reviewed in the next 10 days.
The fight against COVID-19 is one which the Edo State Government takes seriously with several steps taken to ensure that its transmission is checked and the economy of the state is not adversely affected.
There is the partial lockdown with restriction of movement that exempts just persons selling food items and medical supplies besides essential duty workers.
Markets have been relocated to public primary and secondary schools while they are being fumigated. The use of face masks has been made mandatory.

Governor Obaseki also says the State will procure additional testing machines.
The Government is therefore calling for the collaborative effort of all to combat the pandemic.
