Edo State House of Assembly Announce Death of Ex-Speaker Zakawanu Garuba

The Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Frank Okiye, has officially announced the death of former Speaker of the House, Zakawanu Garuba, who passed on in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness.

Garuba was a two-time member of the Edo State House of Assembly, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

While in the House, he also served as Chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters.
He became Speaker in 2007.

The incumbent Speaker, Okiye, prayed God to grant the family of the late Speaker the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
