The Edo State Government in collaboration with the Federal Government is currently carrying out remedial works at the failed sections of the Ekpoma axis of the Benin-Auchi express road.

This was disclosed by the Acting Governor of the State, Philip Shaibu after a meeting held with the Federal Controller of Works in the State, he contractor handling that section of the road and other key players in Benin City.

Commuters are usually caught in gridlock occasioned by the failed sections of the Benin- Ekpoma-Auchi Express road, a major route connecting the South South to the Northern part of Nigeria.

Travelling the route has become a nightmare and a difficult task for motorists and other road users who have to practically crawl through the bad spots on the Ekpoma axis and Agbede before getting to their destinations.
