The Kebbi State Government has released 96 million Naira for accreditation of courses at the College of Health Science and Technology, Jega.
The Commissioner for Higher Education, Isah Abubakar-Tunga, disclosed this while addressing a press conference in his office at Birnin Kebbi.
Tunga added that the government has also increased the monthly cash allocation of the four state-owned tertiary educational institutions from 10.5 million Naira to 40 million.

He further maintained that the government had released about N36 million Naira as intervention, to regularise the 2023/2024 unindexed 556 students of the Departments of Community Health, Environmental Health and Health Education, as well as the promotion of the College of Health Science and Technology, Jega, and released about N60 million for the accreditation of seven courses by the NBTE, offered by the College.
The courses are National Diploma in Community Health, National Diploma, Environmental Health, National Diploma, Health Information Management and National Diploma, Nutrition and Dietetics.
Other National Diplomas include Public Health, Medical Laboratory and Pharmacy technician.
