The National Examinations Council, (NECO), has released the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination, (BECE).
The results of the examination were released following the successful conclusion of the 2025 BECE Award Committee Meeting, held at the council’s headquarters in Minna.
The examination was said to have commenced on May 12, and concluded on May 23.
In a statement by the Acting Director,
Information and Public Relations of NECO, Azeez Sani, One hundred and seventy-nine thousand, two hundred and one candidates registered for the examination in 12 subjects.
Sani added that during the meeting, the chairperson of the Award Committee and Director of Basic Education at the Federal Ministry of Education, Folake Olatunji David, expressed satisfaction with the processes, leading to the successful release of the results.
It was also gathered that the award committee meeting was also attended by some secondary school principals from across the country, as well as NECO management.
Meanwhile, the Award Committee has approved the date and timetable for the 2025 BECE resit, scheduled for July 23 and 24, for mathematics and English studies.
