The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arraigned three senior officials of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, NEC, before the Lagos State High Court over an alleged N2.04 billion fraud.

The defendants – Felix Njoku, Benjamin Iloanusi, and Oche Jerry Ogbole-Inalegwu – face separate charges of abuse of office, corruption, unlawful enrichment, and money laundering.

Prosecutors allege the trio received hundreds of millions of naira from contractors during and after their time in office. All three pleaded not guilty.

The court granted Njoku temporary release on health grounds, remanded Iloanusi in custody, and allowed Ogbole-Inalegwu to continue on administrative bail. The cases were adjourned for bail hearings and trial.
