The Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, has called on Islamic clerics to always preach the gospel of peace and unity according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
Governor Bala Mohammed made the call shortly after performing the Eid-El Fitr prayer in Bauchi State, North East Nigeria.
The governor used the occasion to thank the people of the state for the peaceful conduct of the last general elections, which gave him the mandate to serve for another term, promising to carry everybody along in the scheme of things.
The Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque, Bala Baban’inna, reminded leaders to be just and fair to the people, irrespective of religious or party differences, as commanded by Allah.
