The Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari, has confirmed that he made mistakes while governing the people in the last 8 years, and hopes that the incoming administration will right the wrongs.
Masari who said this shortly after joining millions of Muslims the world over to observe his last Eid prayer as the governor of the state, expressed hope that with the solid foundation laid by him, the incoming administration has no reason to disappoint the people.
Aminu Masari said he is leaving office as a fulfilled man and has set the standard upon which the incoming administration will perform more than he has done.
Masari sought forgiveness from the people of the state, saying he made mistakes while serving as the governor, hoping that the incoming government will right the wrongs.
The governor expressed hope that the peace and security witnessed during the month of Ramadan will continue, for both the state and the country at large, to bring about the needed development in the country.
As of the time of this report, the Eid prayers were being held across the 34 local government areas in a peaceful atmosphere, with no record of terrorist attacks.
