Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa state has asked traditional rulers in the state to intensify efforts at building and sustaining peace in their domain
Fintiri made the appeal during a Sallah homage paid to him by traditional rulers in Adamawa state
Hama Bachama and Chairman Bachama traditional Council of Bachama Kingdom Dr Daniel Shaga Ismaila Commander of the order of the Niger was among other first class, second and third class Chiefs and Emirs that visited the Governor to congratulate him on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast in an Eid El Fitri celebration
Addressing the Monarchs in government house Yola, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri thanked them for coming and challenged them to use the lessons learnt during the Ramadan and the ongoing Christian lent to improve humanity
He used the forum to call on the traditional rulers to ensure that they have zero tolerance for out of school children syndrome, especially as the government of the state makes both basic and secondary education free in the state
Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Emir of Mubi Alhaji Isa Ahmadu congratulated the Governor for the completion of the Ramadan fast and commended him for putting the interest of the masses above other considerations
Apart from district heads and other custodians of traditional institutions, Adamawa state has Fifteen major traditional rulers
