The Kano State Ministry of Education has approved 10 days Eid-El- Kabir break for all public and private primary and post-primary schools in the North-West state.
This is contained in a statement issued on behalf of the Ministry by the Deputy Director of Information, Aliyu Yusuf.
The statement urged
parents and guardians of pupils and students of the schools to note that the break will commenced on Thursday, July 7 to Sunday July 17, 2022.
The Ministry therefore, directed that all SSS 3 students writing NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS examinations as well as students on exchange programme from other states at GSS Gwarzo and GGSS Shekara are to remain in their respective schools.

Similarly, the Ministry directed all head teachers and principals to ensure that boarding students returned back to their schools on Sunday, July 17 while day students resume classes on Monday July 18 respectively, as normal academic activities will start on the resumption day.
The Ministry warned that appropriate disciplinary action would be taken against defaulting students.
