The Muslim community in Rivers State has applauded Governor Sim Fubara for his commitment to protecting the rights of Muslims and adherents of other religions to freely practice their religion without intimidation or destruction of their places of worship.

Governor Sim Fubara says his administration will continue to protect the rights of everyone living in Rivers State.
He says his administration will consider the request made for the construction of a state worship centre for Muslims.
Governor Fubara also uses the visit to respond to all those who say that he has nothing to show for his one year in office.
Sim Fubara says he intends to leave behind a legacy that generations to come will be proud of.
While wishing Muslims a Happy Eid El Kabir, Governor Fubara wants Nigerians to use the period to pray for the country, embrace peace, and join hands to build a great nation.
