Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu has asked muslim faithful to seek God’s intervention on Nigeria’s security challenges as they observe this year’s Maulud.
The Governor urged Muslims in the state to use the Maulud celebrations to seek Allah’s intervention on the security challenges confronting the country.
He gave the charge in his Maulud message to the people of the state. He described the security challenges facing the country as a major hindrance to Nigeria’s development, and therefore the need for all hands to be on deck.
While noting that no meaningful development can take place where there is no peace, he urged Muslims to dedicate more time to prayers during the festive season marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
The Governor also appealed to Muslim clerics to educate their followers on the significance of prayers especially in trying moments.
