Ekeremo/Sagbama Protest: Electorate Call On INEC To Cancel Wards 3 & 4 Elections

Following the conclusion of the 2023 General Elections, the electorate in the Ekeremo/Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has hit the roads demanding the cancellation of results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC saying they do not reflect their votes.

According to them, the BVAS malfunctioned, violence erupted at some wards and security operatives allegedly prevented them from casting their votes.

The youths, women, and men of Ekeremo LGA had a peaceful protest in Bayelsa State, where the electorate marched to the streets to express their grievances towards INEC officials who handled the electoral process in the area.

According to Oyinke Joy who says there was violence in wards 3 and 4 says she was expecting those wards to be cancelled but was disappointed as the result was still recorded.

The protesters urged INEC and the Federal Government to do the needful by ensuring they announced the actual results.

They called on INEC to hear the voices of the youths, old and Young.
