The Ekiti State government has suspended a school principal for negligence and abandonment of duty.
The state’s Commissioner for Education, Foluso Daramola, dislosed this during a tour of schools in the state.
He said the decision was taken after taking into consideration, the actions of the principal during a tour of schools by Governor Kayode Fayemi.
He said the principal was aware that the Governor was visiting her school, yet she abandoned her duty post, complaining that the Governor came late.
Daramola said, proper disciplinary action will be taken against the suspended principal.
