Some Residents Saturday boycotted the local government Election held across Ekiti state.

The Residents say the inability of the state independent national electoral Commission to carry out a comprehensive sensitisation campaign was largely responsible for the voter apathy witnessed on Saturday.
Meanwhile , Governor of Ekiti state, Biodun Oyebanji who voted in Ikogosi Ekiti used the day to appeal for calm.
The state chapter of the people’s democratic party boycotted the election noting that membership of the electoral body in the state has been skewed to favour the ruling APC.
