Some interest groups in Ekiti state have warned against the rising cases of drug abuse particularly among youths, describing the menace as a global health and social challenge.
The interest groups renewed this position at a one day workshop on effects of drug abuse in the Society.

To check this development in Ekiti state, teenagers and adolescents were recently advised against the use of psychoactive substances.
The youths were also counselled on the dangers associated with cyber fraud and other social vices.
Drug abuse, addictions and trafficking has become a global challenge, cutting across socioeconomic, cultural, religious, and ethnic boundaries.
