Electoral Reforms: Jega, Agbakoba, Naaba, Utomi, others to lead Abuja political summit

Former chairman of the independent national electoral commission, INEC , Professor Attahiru Jega and the former president of Nigerian Bar Association, Olisa Agbakoba with other Eminent Leaders of Thought, Political Stakeholders, Civil Society and Labour Leaders are set to converge on Abuja on October 1st for a political summit on electoral reforms.


This is contain In a statement by the head of media for the movement under the auspices of National Consultative Front, NCFront, Tanko Yunusa, saying that during the summit, the leaders will launch a non partisan national political coalition .

He said the historic National Intervention Summit is also billed to mobilise Nigerians and ‘pressurize’ the government to adopt electronic transmission of election results for the 2023 elections.


The theme of the summit as proposed by the movement is “Restoring the Credibility of Nigerian Democracy and Legitimacy of the Nigerian State: The Imperative For the adoption of Electronic Transmission of Election Results in Nigeria”.
