Electricity Distribution: Bauchi NUJ Condemns Unnecessary Disconnection Of Power By JEDC

Bauchi state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has accused Jos Electricity Distribution Company, JEDC, of forcing customers with prepaid meters to go back to estimated billing, alleging that the team of Jos Electricity.    

Distribution company JED has embarked on illegal disconnection of Customers, even those with prepaid meters within Bauchi metropolis.

In a press statement issued to Journalists in the state, the secretary of the council, Isah Gadau, faulted the activities of some staff of Jos Electricity.  

Distribution company JEDC for deliberately frustrating and embarrassing their customers, even those with prepaid meters, for their personal gains.

While expressing disappointment over the activities of JEDC in Bauchi, the council Advised Nigerians to look for alternative power supply and boycott the outrageous estimated bills being issued to them on a monthly basis. 

The council, therefore, drew the attention of the JEDC Management to always engage trained personnel with good human relations with customers in providing services to their customers.
