With the latest Assistance in Distress Initiative (Aid) by the Lagos health management agency LASHMA, Some experts Say Lagos Residents are now excluded from the list of people who die needlessly due to lack of access to prompt care in times of Emergencies In Nigeria
Fatalities from road traffic accidents and medical health emergencies like stroke, among others, account for about one point two million deaths in Nigeria annually.

Many victims often die due to long distance to health care facilities or lack of funds for the initial deposit to commence treatment.
With the Lagos State health management agency assistance in distress initiative is providing up to forty eight hours of in facility emergency stabilization for vulnerable residents,the era of patients dying due to lack of access to emergency care will become a thing of the past.
The Lagos State Government has also expanded its emergency response capacity through the Lagos State ambulance service LASAMBUS With additional ambulance bikes and mobile intensive careunitss to improve the response time especially in traffic congested areas.
