The Emir of Gusau in Zamfara State Northwest Nigeria, Ibrahim Bello, has died in Abuja hospital after a protracted illness.
The revered monarch passed on at the age of 71 after spending ten years on the throne.
The Secretary of the Gusau Emirate Council, described the Zamfara monarch, Ibrahim Bello OFR, as a humble, honest and trustworthy individual, as well as a time keeper, who doesn’t attend events late.
The late emir holds a master degree in primary Healthcare.
Ibrahim Bello was a career civil servant who rose to the position of Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service before he retired.

He held several Political appointments in the State ranging from Secretary Talata Mafara and Tsafe Local Governments, Sole Administrator, Gusau LGA, Director General and Commissioner ministry of Animal Health and Husbandry among others.
The late Ibrahim Bello, became the 9 Emir of Gusau in 2015 during the administration of Abdulaziz Yari and served the people of Gusau very well till July 25, when he passed on in Abuja.
