Empowerment : NDDC To Commence 10,000 Youths Internship Scheme December 2024

The Niger Delta development commission NDDC has assured the people of the Niger Delta region that the ten thousand youths internship scheme will kickstart in December, two thousand and four.

The managing director of the NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku stated this during Stakeholders engagement with youths Leaders of ethnic Nationalities, in port Harcourt.

Youth leaders drawn from various ethnic Nationalities of the Niger Delta region gathered at the instance of the NDDC, following promises made in the past, to empower youths of the oil rich region, with an internship scheme that will include payment of stipends.

The managing Director of the NDDC Samuel Ogbuku who commended youths of the Niger Delta region for ignoring the call to join the endbadgovernance and October first protest, said ten thousand youths will be selected from a poll of 3.2 million persons that registered for the youths internship scheme database.

He said those not captured in the exercise, will also benefit through the commission’s project hope programme.

Ogbuku while urging young people to support president Bola Tinibu’s renewed hope agenda, cautioned against falling victims to scammers, in the hope of offering them automatic slots for the scheme.
