President Mohammadu Buhari has commended Bauchi State youths for shunning the EndSARS protest.

The commendation was made by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, during a Town Hall Meeting on How to Mitigate the Security Issues in the country, held in Bauchi.

The two Ministers of Education, Adamu Adamu, and the Minister of State For Industry, Trade and Investment, Ambassador Maryam Katagum, were in Bauchi to honour the directives by the President for critical stakeholders to engage the people on the issues at stake, particularly what prompted the recent EndSARS protest in some parts of the country.

While conveying the Presidential Message, the Ministers said, the Federal Government is pleased with the people of Bauchi for not allowing themselves to be used by unpatriotic citizens, in their quest to destroy the relative peace of the nation.

They added that President Buhari’s administration will continue to prioritize youths empowerment and development.

With the youth as the backbone of any meaningful development, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed said, his administration would continue to partner with the federal government and other relevant stakeholders, in addressing their needs.

The discussions centered around security challenges, youth and women empowerment and the way forward.

It included civil society groups, religious and cultural organisations among others.
