Leaders of End bad Governance protesters have called for immediate and unconditional release of all the detained protesters, which include 32 minors.

In a statement jointly signed by all the conveners, on the auspices of the Network of Abuja Left Groups condemned the arraignment of 76 protesters for participating in the EndBadGovernance protest.

They called for an end to what they described as judicial intimidation and suppression of dissent.

The groups urged the Federal Government to Openly probe all security men who engaged in the use of excessive force against protesters, by tear-gassing, beating, and shooting at protesters.

The conveners called on Nigerians not to be discouraged in making their demands known to the government about the continued increase in the Cost of Living.

The Network of Abuja Left Groups said among the 76 arrested protesters are 32 minors between the ages of 14 and 17 – young Nigerians whose only ‘crime’ was standing for their right to a dignified life.

The Groups called on Nigerians and the international community to recognize the actions they referred as an affront to human dignity and an infringement on the right to self-expression and social action of Nigerians.

Before the arraignment on November one, the protesters were kept in detention for 93 days
