Endbadgovernance Protest: Bauchi Governor To Renovate Affected Structures in Katagum LGA

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has expressed his administration’s readiness to rebuild the structures affected during the Nationwide EndBadGovernance Protests.

The governor said this when he paid a sympathy and assessment visit to the affected areas in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State, North East Nigeria. 

Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State is one of the local government areas that witnessed violence during the nationwide end to bad governance protests.

It affected both private and public structures.

This prompted Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed to embark on the sympathy visit, and to assess the level of damage during the incident.

He expressed dismay over the destruction of public and private properties, even as he said the protests are a clear indication that those in authority needed to provide good governance to the masses.

While at the Katagum Local Government Secretariat, which is the most affected by the incident, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed his administration’s readiness to rebuild the structure, and render assistance to the individuals affected.

The Emir of Katagum, Umar Faruk the Second, appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed and the security agents for their quick response, which he noted, demonstrated quality leadership and professionalism. 

As normalcy returns to Azare town, the state government has announced the relaxation of the 24-hour curfew from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
